Brera Ambassador: Piuarch

"The Fuorisalone in Brera benefits from a unique environment and positive influence, contributing to making even more central this area of Milan"
“The Fuorisalone in Brera benefits from a unique environment and positive influence, contributing to making even more central this area of Milan: undoubtedly, the right destination for the highly valuable projects by those who wish to deliver the public a story of high quality.”

Francesco Fresa, Germán Fuenmayor, Gino Garbellini and Monica Tricario founded the firm Piuarch in 1996 and today run an international team of 40 architects and engineers. Piuarch is located in Via Palermo 1, in the very heart of the Brera Design District, of which this year the firm’s representatives will be ambassadors.

The works signed Piuarch go from the renovation of industrial areas to fashion boutiques, residential buildings, offices and urban plans. At the Fuorisalone, the firm will introduce a green architecture project, developed in collaboration with VerdeVivo: Garden within courtyards, 300 sqm on the roof of the firm, turned into a permanent garden and “outdoor pharmacy”. The Garden within courtyards is a energy renovation project, besides being a tool for landscape and decoration improvement, a food self-production project and also a new place for social networking.

Over the years Piuarch has been awarded with several prizes such as: the New Congress Centre of Riva del Garda (2007), the enlargement of the Collegio of Milan (2007) and Porta Nuova White Wave building in Milan (2013). Piuarch was also awarded with the prize “Italian Architect 2013” by the Architects National Board in collaboration with the MAXXI of Rome.
