In occasion of Milan Design Week 2015, CTA Centro Tendaggi Arredamento is pleased to present the new fabric collection "The Shape" by means of a careful dressing by Studioliquido of the spaces within 39 via Moscova in the Brera district of Milan.
The collection interprets the essence of textile as a substance that gives form to space, dresses the environment, separates that which is outside from that which is within, whilst not being only a superficial disengagement or line of demarcation, but also and foremost, contains a connection, depth, and special realisation.
Because decorative textiles or curtains are none other than a mirror of what we are, an expression of our imaginative dressing or decoration. They reflect our thoughts and life-style at home : textiles form the skin and soul of our living spaces, and therefore the quintessence of the deeper realisation of self. To quote the words of the French poet Paul Valéry: "What is there in man deeper than the skin".
The Shape offers a new interpretation of this ethos...a new skin!
Warp and weft integrate magisterially, lucid and opaque yarns, but also embroidered motifs, incise and transparent decorations, provide a joyful interplay between the void and decoration. THE SHAPE has the capacity to totally satisfy the stylistic necessities of living spaces : carefully selected sheers are inserted into collections specially to mutually co-ordinate the ambience, giving the space an original and contemporary essence.
